1. Shawl

Shawls are one of the more predictable scarf fashion routes to go. Drape a scarf like you normally would over your shoulders, and tie the opposite ends together to secure them in place and there you have it! Another way to battle those chills, the fashionable way.

2. Scarf bandana

Feel the breeze and let your hair down! A scarf can also double up as a fashionable head piece. Unleash your inner Jack Sparrow and wear a pirate bandana for everyone to see. Just lay out your scarf in a square, and take one of the corner triangles folding it towards the middle, doing the same on the opposite side. By now, you must have a hexagon shaped figure in front of you. Fold one of the sides with the folded corner halfway toward the middle of the bandana. Fold half of this side in another half, leaving a smooth edge folding into the middle of the bandana. Fold the whole bandana in half again and flip over, wrap over your head and tie it securely around your head. There you go! Time to go lootin’ for some pirate treasure.

Spice up your plain old office carry-all with a silk scarf. Just fold your scarf diagonally into a long band and pull it through your bag’s handle or buckle and tie it into a pretty knot. It takes less than 20 seconds for some pretty arm candy…you didn’t even break a sweat. Now you’ve got another scarf fashion idea.

4. Scarf skirt

This scarf fashion idea is awesome in every sense of the word, and very simple to do as well! No needles and thread necessary. Take an over sized scarf (about 2 yards of fabric will do) and start with the fabric from behind you, crossing the edges in front and wrapping it back. Secure it with a double knot. Tuck the knot underneath the fabric so it is hidden. Secure the whole thing with a belt to accentuate your curves and there you go! A beautiful skirt you can wear to a romantic evening, a casual date, a trip to the mall…well, it gets you covered.

6. Scarf belt

Spice up your plain trousers with a scarf belt! Just get a stylish frame buckle (available at most craft or textile stores) and a long scarf which perfectly fits and tapers round your waist. Push either ends of the scarf inside the buckle’s holes, pulling them outward and tying them in a tight knot on the farthest ends they could reach and there you have it! A belt perfect for most occasions.

In spicing up your wardrobe items, don’t be afraid to experiment and get your creative groove on. Don’t be afraid to express your own unique sense of style! Grab the world by the lapels and swing to the beat of your own drum. Have fun and hit it, ladies!
